About

My full name is Joshua "Cole" Couch. I was born in Jonesboro, AR and grew up in Fayetteville, AR. Started skiing at the age of 8 in the poconos, primarily Jack Frost, for a half day each year. Just those 4-6 hours each year was enough for me to know that I loved everything about skiing. When I turned 15, I moved to Geneva, Switzerland where I took full advantage of the Swiss Alps. I skied every weekend from opening to closing day. As soon as I turned 18 and graduated high school, I moved to Killington, Vermont to become a ski instructor. Turns out ski instructing is the perfect job for me. The most rewarding part of the job is just seeing the progress you've made through out the day with your student and knowing that they are going to come back to ski again. I'm a very easy going and sociable person. Had an incredible season as a ski instructor in Killington and learned much more than I knew there was to know about skiing. After the season ended, I moved to Brookhaven, PA to study and volunteer as a firefighter for a couple years. Over the years, I missed being at the mountains more and more so I decided to apply for Jack Frost/Big Boulder. Now I'm working at Jack Frost any day I'm not working in Philly. I'm especially great with kids. Having a brother and sister that are now 3 and 7 years old probably have something to do with that so if you're looking for an instructor who's going to make learning the sport more easy and fun for you or your kid than you could imagine, request me at Jack Frost. You can call my cell to find my availability.
