About

About your Guide:

Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico I grew up with a love for skiing and snowboarding. Snowboard/Ski Club field trips were the one thing I looked forward to the most each year. I moved to Winter Park to chase my dreams of becoming a snow bum and to explore all the summer activities Grand County has to offer including downhill mountain biking, hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and many others. My first powder day here at Winter Park Resort lit a fire in my soul for this sport, and I have since based my entire life around my love for snowboarding.  This fire has transformed into an intense desire to show others the magic that was shown to me by a fellow snow bum years ago. Showing people around our mountain is one of my favorite things to do and makes a huge difference in one's experience.

Snowboard style:

I love riding with all skill levels from beginners to experts.  Each level and type of rider/skier has something to teach and something to learn. I make it my mission everyday I’m on the snow to find fresh lines away from the crowds. I love all kinds of jumps; from little rotations off side hits, to hidden kickers, trying new tricks to get from point A to point B is what keeps each run fresh and creative. My true passions are riding the thickest trees on the mountain, ripping moguls, and riding chutes and steeps.

Why ride with Johnna:

You don’t really know someone until you’ve spent a day with him/her on the mountain and I’d love to get to know you. Let me show you the sickest lines I’ve stumbled across, the deepest stashes, and the most secluded areas Winter Park Resort and all its territories have to offer. Whether you’re looking for a chill day cruising groomers away from the crowds, secret fresh lines from lifts open to lifts closed, or one of the shreddiest days of your life bombing moguls and sending drops, I got you covered.  This tour is about YOU and your experience.

Johnna was amazing! She is extremely encouraging and kind. She took us to the perfect runs that not only challenged us to get better but were also a blast. Thank you for an awesome time on the slopes!

Johnna took out our 5 kids in groups of 2/3. I felt so comfortable with her. She can guide the little ones through beginner trails, then step it up to more advance trails/trees/terrain for the big kids. She really knows how to read the readiness of a rider. She has an incredible positive energy. You can’t help but to have a great time and want to enjoy the day. Johnna loves the mountain, she loves what she does and really wants you to feel the same way-and you will!

Johnna is insanely kind and fun. She knows exactly where the perfect place on the mountain is good for you, along with where some challenges may be. She really knows how to have fun with you, no matter what level you are on. I would definitely recommend Johnna to everyone who is looking forward to having fun! -Stella

Johnna was fantastic with our two boys ages 11 and 15. They are still talking about what a great time they had.
