About

For me, skiing, and teaching skiing is all about one...simple...thing...  FUN!!  I've been skiing at Wildcat for over 30 years, and in doing so, I've developed a true love for everything related to this wonderful sport...but the best part about skiing and teaching skiing is to see and hear the smiling faces and laughter of all of the kids that I've come to teach over the years as they continually advance in their years, and in their abilities.  I take great comfort in knowing that some of them will relate their first time skiing at Wildcat to "Big Rob," and how enjoyable it was!  My wife and my two kids will spend every weekend of winter up at the Mountain, as it's become part of who we are and what we do.  We're in love with the mountain, with the people who ski there, and with the lifestyle and vibe of what is Wildcat!  I'm an alpine and telemark skier who prefers powder - but will most assuredly take anything mother nature will throw at me - for I'm in New England, and I'm used to that!  My ski teaching specialty is "never ever's/first timers to young yellow, green and blue level skiers...but my job is to make it fun, and I'll work tirelessly to get that goal accomplished. When I'm not on snow, my other passion is fly fishing (and fly tying) - and doing so in the streams and rivers throughout Mount Washington Valley.  You can say that with regards to NH water, I'll ski it in the winter and fish it in the summer! If your at the mountain, come on down stairs, and ask for "Big Rob" at the children's sign up area.  I'll be more than happy to accommodate your needs!
