About

I learned to ski at the age of eighteen with my older sister. At the age of twenty one I got the call to serve my country after which I got married and had two boys and two girls, in that order. It wasn't until 1985 that I took up sking again. In the year 2000, my wife and I adopted two sisters, ages three and six, and we moved to Shaver Lake for my retirement. I began working at China Peak the 2003/2004 season and started teaching soon after, so my girls would have the opportunity to learn to ski. One swithed to boarding, no one is perfect!  I have been teaching twelve years now, my kids are grown and I still get to ski with great kids and meet so many people and instructors dedicated to improving their skills while loving to shread the mountain.  When the snow goes away you can find me at Camp Edison in the Summer were I work as a forestry attendant.  Learning to ski is a progression, the more you progress, the more freedom you feel.  Looking forword to meeting you.
